UN SC to resume discussion of draft resolution on Iran
Five permanent members of the UN SC plus Germany will resume Nov 13 the discussion of the draft resolution on Iran. Tehran has rejected the international package of economic benefits and did not freeze its nuclear plans, whereas the western countries propose imposing sanctions on Tehran. Russia demands that such measures as freezing Iran's foreign bank accounts and banning foreign trips of its citizens due to its rocket and nuclear programs be excluded from the text of resolution, arguing that the measures would merely lead to the country's isolation.
ey Lavrov said that Moscow and Tehran advocate resuming negotiations on the Iranian issue.
Tehran announced Nov 12 plans of installing 3,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, Voice of Russia reports.
