Final data on voter turnout at South Ossetia’s referendum announced
South Ossetian Central Election Commission (CEC) has released information on voter turnout at the presidential election and the independence referendum in South Ossetia. As a REGNUM correspondent is told at the commission, by the closing time of polling stations, 08:00 p.m. 52,030 voters used their right to vote, which is 94.6% of eligible voters.
The CEC is expected to announce preliminary results of the voting in the morning of November 13.
As REGNUM reported earlier, under official information by Georgia’s Central Election Commission, the number of voters who are residents of villages uncontrolled by South Ossetian authorities is 14,404 people.
