Observers from Georgia attended South Ossetian votes
Observers from Georgia attended referendum and presidential election held Nov 12 in South Ossetia, chair of South Ossetian CEC Bella Pliyeva said at a press conference Nov 13 at the International Press Center in Tskhinval. The observers visited voting stations throughout the territory of the republic. REGNUM correspondent quotes Pliyeva to say that 180 observers from 11 countries monitored the votes. No violations were registered at the votes.
Answering the question on how such an orderly votes were organized, Bella Pliyeva said that South Ossetians want their country to be recognized by the world community, thus they organized the votes process so that everything was run by constitutional laws and observers would have no reason to complain.
