Do US spies settle down in Dubai?
US State Department opened its office in Dubai (UAE) aimed at watching more closely Iranian affairs – it is a CIA office opened in order to monitor situation in Iran and basically change the country, The New York Times is quoted by the Iranian State Radio as informing. According to the newspaper, the US State Department announced its wish to open its office in Dubai early in 2006 in order to receive more complete information concerning Iran during period of confrontation caused by the Iranian nuclear program. That is why, US authorities decided to open its Iranian affairs office in Dubai where major Iranian trade center functions, the newspaper informs stressing that US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns considered it to be a repetition of establishing base ‘Riga’ in Latvia founded to receive more information on the USSR during the cold war.
