Some Ukrainian ministers can be replaced this week
The Ukrainian Supreme Rada intends to consider personnel issues this week in connection with resignations and appointment of new ministers to the Ukrainian Cabonet. The announcement was made today, on November 27, by Socialist Party leader Vasily Tsushko while he was commenting on the results of a session of factions’ leaders coordination council, a REGNUM correspondent in Kiev reports.
The question of dismissing two ministers under quota by Our Ukraine (Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko and Healthcare Minister Yuri Polyachenko), who sent in their resignations, as well as the question of appointing emergency minister were discussed at the session of the coordination council. After the discussion Supreme Rada Chair Alexander Moroz instructed committees in charge to prepare relevant documents to consider the question at the session hall. Meanwhile, Vasily Tsushko said that the parliament would take the issue only if there are corresponding documents from the government.
It is worth mentioning, at the Yanukovich government Our Ukraine was represented by Justice Minister Roman Zvarych, Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko, Healthcare Minister Yuri Polyachenko, Minister for Culture and Tourism Igor Likhovoy. On October 19 those ministers sent in their resignations, after that Zvarych and Likhovoy were dismissed on November 1.
