Ukrainian Supreme Rada dismisses another orange minister
At a plenary session today, on November 29, the Ukrainian Supreme Rada dismissed Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko appointed to the government under Our Ukraine Party quota. 241 members of parliament voted for adopting such decision, a REGNUM correspondent reports. BYT and Our Ukraine factions did not vote for the decision.
Speaking to the MPs, Yuri Pavlenko particularly said: I am not ashamed of my work as the minister. I am sure the positive changes I managed to achieve at the ministry are irreversible. Besides, he thanked MPs for support of his activity.
Earlier, Our Ukraine Bloc was represented at the Yanukovich government by Justice Minister Roman Zvarych, Minister for Family, Youth and Sports Issues Yuri Pavlenko, Healthcare Minister Yuri Polyachenko, Minister for Culture and Tourism Igor Likhovoy. They were appointed to the Cabinet under the quota of Our Ukraine in accordance with agreements between President Viktor Yushchenko and Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovich. On October 19, the ministers sent in their resignations, Roman Zvarych and Igor Likhovoy were dismissed on November 1.
