Nogaideli will have consultations on Georgia’s foreign policy
Georgian-Russian relations will become a subject of discussion during the visit of Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli to the United States to start on December 4. The Georgian premier made the announcement before departing to the USA, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
Political consultations will be held with the US government on major issues of Georgian foreign policy, in particular, on future Georgia’s steps towards NATO integration. Russia is not the key subject of our talks, but I am sure, questions for discussion will include the Georgian-Russian relations as well, Zurab Nogaideli said.
It is worth mentioning, his visit to the United States will last till December 12. It will end in Washington, where Zurab Nogaideli is planned to meet with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, US Vice President Dick Cheney, National Security Advisor Stephen Headley, Senator Richard Lugar, World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz, International Monetary Fund Executive Director Jeroen Kremers and others. During the visit to the United States, Zurab Nogaideli will deliver speeches at University of California, Davis, Stanford University and John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; he will tell students about changes occurred in Georgia after the Rose Revolution and reforms held in the country.
