Ukrainian foreign minister was not allowed to cabinet session
Today, on December 6, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk was not allowed to a session of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers by his colleagues in the government, Minister Anatoly Tolstoukhov and Finance Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov, Boris Tarasyuk is quoted as saying to reporters by a REGNUM correspondent in Kiev. The foreign minister said he would appeal against the ministers’ actions in court.
It is worth mentioning, yesterday, on December 5, Ukraine’s President Viktor Yushchenko entrusted Boris Tarasyuk by his decree to continue fulfilling his duties of the foreign minister. Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, commenting in the USA on the decision of the Ukrainian president, said that he was surprised by Tarasyuk’s decision to appeal the Supreme Rada’ resolution. It confirms once again that this person is irresponsible, the prime minister added.
On December 1, the Ukrainian Supreme Rada gave its consent for dismissing Boris Tarasyuk. 247 MPs (186 from Regions Party, 30 from the Socialist Party, 21 from the communist Party, 4 from BYT faction, 2 from Our Ukraine and 4 non-party) voted for the decision.
