UN SC permanent members and Germany agreed on draft resolution on Iran
Five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany agreed on basic elements of the draft resolution on Iran, Russia’s Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin said after unofficial consultations in the format of six.
According to him, Moscow is satisfied with the fact that the partners adopted the Russian concept, in accordance with which actions taken against Iran should not result in its isolation; however, they will be aimed at recommencement and successful accomplishment of the talks. The diplomat noted that there are several issues of technical nature left that are still to be coordinated. Meanwhile, a UK spokesman said that the draft resolution in its final form ready for submission to voting at the UN Security Council will be released by the end of the weak, Golos Rossii reports.
