Scotland Yard investigators return to London
Scotland Yard investigators taking part in the Litvinenko case returned from Moscow to London. As they said in the police, they were satisfied with cooperation with the Russian prosecution. However, as The Times reports, the investigators failed to receive the whole information they needed. A source at UK security services told the paper that at interrogations in Moscow Russian officials refused to ask questions the UK investigators wanted to receive answers from witnesses Dmitry Kovtun and Andrei Lugovoi.
The paper says it was not made public in order not to worsen relations between Moscow and London, NTV informs. Results of the post-mortem examination of Litvinenko’s body will not be announced until all proceedings in the framework of the investigation are finished.
