Belarus believes it will not be left without Russian gas
Belarus will not be left without Russian gas since January 1, 2007, Belarusian first deputy prime minister Vladmir Semashko said.
“As the Russian side did not notice us that it was withdrawing from the contract, the previous contract will remain in force in accordance with norms and rules,” Semashko is quoted as saying by RSN.
The contract for gas delivery from Russia to Belarus exterminates on December 31. Russia claims to raise the gas price up to $105 in 2007.
