FBI does not comment on possible involvement of Nevzlin in Litvinenko’s case announced by Russian prosecution
The FBI declined to comment on statements made by Russian Prosecutor General’s Office on possible involvement of Yukos former co-owner Leonid Nevzlin, who is now in the United States, in Alexander Litvinenko’s death. As Ekho Moskvy informs, FBI agent Stephen Kodak said his agency does not provide comment on investigations before a court verdict is announced. Besides, the FBI did not confirm rendering assistance to other countries in investigation. He pointed out that only a country which makes the inquiry about assistance in investigation can confirm it.
As REGNUM reported earlier, on December 27, the Russian Prosecution General’s Office informed that former Yukos shareholder Leonid Nevzlin could be contractor of poisoning of KGB ex-officer Alexander Litvinenko.
