Lebedev did not say someone tried to poison him like Litvinenko
Russian MP Alexander Lebedev called incorrect interpretation of his statements to British media.
As RSN informs, he was astonished at how The Sunday Times presented abstracts from his interview to Tattler magazine. I was sneering at various superstitions and witchcraft concerning the fact that some businessmen apply such methods in dealing with their competitors. In this connection, we spoke that there is a method like poisoning rivals, the MP explained.
According to him, he remembered that while being abroad in the end of last spring and in the beginning of the summer, he had to turn for medical assistance because of constantly feeling ill and losing weight. There was a suspicion he had been poisoned but it was not confirmed later. According to Lebedev, he never said that he could have been poisoned by a radioactive substance, in the way like ex-KGB officer Alexander Litvinenko was.
As The Sunday Times wrote, Lebedev said that eight months ago there was an attempt to poison him in the way like the ex-KGB officer was.
