Georgian foreign minister welcomed returning of Russian ambassador to Tbilisi
Georgia’s Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili said talking to reporters that he welcomed returning of Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vyacheslav Kovalenko, a REGNUM correspondent informs. At the same time, the Georgian foreign minister said that Georgia expects from Russia more effective actions towards settlement of the relations.
It is a very logical step by Russia. But we expect more effective actions, by which Russia could demonstrate that it wants full-fledged and equal relations, Gela Bezhuashvili announced. The two countries’ relations depend not only on the ambassador. We want more practical steps to be taken to improve the Russian-Georgian relations, the minister said.
