Moldova bans poultry imports from Russia
Moldova imposed ban on poultry imports from Russia and Hungary “on the ground of registering bird flu in those countries,” press office of the Moldovan Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry announced today.
“The ban was imposed in accordance with the national legislation and international recommendations,” the ministry’s release says.
Earlier, bird flu was supposedly found at three households in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory. A bird flu outbreak in Hungary was confirmed by the European Commission.
