Ukraine bans poultry imports from Russia
Ukraine’s National Veterinary Department temporarily banned imports of poultry from Krasnodar Territory (Russia), press office of the department informed today, on February 1, a REGNUM correspondent in Kiev informs. According to the information given by the veterinary department, the ban caused by a report of the Russian Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Inspection that there was a suspicion of a bird flu outbreak in Krasnodar Region.
Imports of other goods from the country should be processed in accordance with Ukrainian veterinary regulations, the report says.
Earlier, on January 26, imports of poultry, its products and raw stuff from Hungary were banned on the same reason.
