Putin hopes for dialog and normalization of relations with Georgia
Answering a question of a Georgian correspondent, the Russian president said that when he last time met with Mikhail Saakashvili in Minsk, they asked the question whether there is need in the CIS. But they agreed that if there had been no CIS, they would not have met.
Despite all contradictions, we managed to establish a dialog, Vladimir Putin said. We managed to settle the issue on gas supplies without confrontations. Moreover, Russia established gas supplies to Turkey, the Russian president reminded. Putin noted that he knows very well what is going on in the region.
We are patient about the drumming that was caused in Georgia by returning of the Russian ambassador. When we hear words: The ambassador is back, and we are the winners, we are very calm about it and hope for normalization of the relations, Vladimir Putin said.
