Russian ambassador says Moscow ready for dialog with Baku on revising terms of renting Gabala radio location station
Russia is open for a dialog to revise conditions of the treaty on renting the Gabala radio location station, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasily Istratov said at a news conference in Baku today, a REGNUM correspondent informs. According to the ambassador, there is an agreement on renting the Gabala radio location station that states the sum for rent, the term of agreement, mechanisms that envisage revising the agreement or its contents. If the Azerbaijani sides has questions on revising the rent, it should officially address the Russian side. It is necessary here to act in accordance with the international law. Up to the present moment we have received no such addresses, but we are open for dialog, Istratov said.
Earlier, proposals to increase rent for exploitation of the Gabala radio location station were made public at the Azerbaijani parliament after Russia raised the gas price for Azerbaijan.
