Ukrainian defense ministry threatens with calling to account for derailment of NATO exercises
Ukrainian First Deputy Minister Leonid Polyakov says that citizens, who will be hampering international military exercises in the Ukrainian territory, can be called to account. He made the statement to reporters yesterday, a REGNUM correspondent in Kiev reports.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry will be carrying out an active information campaign to show benefit from such international training for Ukraine in general and for economy, the Armed Forces, local administrations and firms in particular, Polyakov said. At the same time he stressed that the Ukrainian defense ministry would take actions in case the information campaign does not help. If the information campaign does not help, and we see interference of destructive forces in the country as well as from abroad, we shall turn to the institutions that are in charge for putting limits and counteracting negative interference in Ukraine’s interests, Leonid Polyakov said.
Earlier, Proryv Youth Organization announced its intention to organize protest actions against NATO navy exercises in the Black Sea, calling upon residents of the Ukrainian Black Sea coast to put to sea on their own boats.
