Iran proposed nuclear cooperation to Turkey
Turkey and Iran’s foreign ministers Abdullah Gul and Manouchehr Mottaki had positive and constructive talks in Ankara, as they said at a news conference after them.
According to Abdullah Gul, the key subject of the talks was political relations of the two countries. The Iraqi problem as well as the Iranian nuclear program were discussed within frameworks of political cooperation of the two countries, the Turkish foreign minister said.
In his turn, Manouchehr Mottaki said he arrived in Ankara to participate in the 19th session of the Iranian-Turkish intergovernmental trade and economic cooperation commission. According to him, at the meeting, special attention was drawn to issues of regional stability and security, IRNA reports.
At the same time, as Turkish media inform, at the meeting Manouchehr Mottaki announced Tehran’s willingness to cooperate with Turkey in various fields including nuclear energy production and proposed to develop modern technologies in the sphere together.
