Lugovoi ready to go to London
Russian businessman, Andrei Lugovoi called fantasies reports of some media that his status in the investigation of Russian former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko was changed from witness to suspect. Meanwhile, Lugovoi noted that at present time he has consultations with UK law firms in order to establish a correct system of interaction with the British justice in case he has to go to London being invited by Scotland Yard investigators.
Speaking on air of Ekho Moskvy Radio today, Lugovoi added that in the hysteria that has been seen recently in British media, 99% of 100 will say that we [Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun – REGNUM] were principal offenders. Is it worth meeting people, who were prepared in advance that we were authors of the murder? Lugovoi asked.
As REGNUM reported earlier, a Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed that a Russian top-ranking prosecution official arrived in London. He is expected to have consultations with investigators of the Litvinenko murder. As it is known, the investigation in the UK is completed, results of it were submitted to the Royal Prosecution, which is to name suspects on the case and possible motives.
