Italian premier offers ideas to resolve Iranian nuclear problem
Italy’s Prime Minister Romano Prodi submitted an idea to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem at a recent meeting in Rome, National Security Supreme Council Secretary Ali Larijani told reporters.
As Larijani said, Prodi's proposed idea was primary and that it should be developed. Answering reporters’ questions about Prodi’s initiative, the Iranian official said that given it has not been revealed, they should wait and see.
Meanwhile, Larijani said that during his recent meeting with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Mohamed ElBaradei, he assessed the IAEA chief's initiative as positive. We call for a rational solution to the issue, IRNA quotes Larijani as saying.
