Abkhaz president hospitalized in Moscow hospital
Abkhaz President Sergey Bagapsh is sent to a Moscow clinic, a REGNUM correspondent in Sokhumi informs.
As presidential spokesman Kristian Bzhania informed, doctors recommended that Bagapsh underwent a medical check and hospital treatment. Doctors say his condition is stable.
It is worth mentioning, a meeting of Abkhaz, South Ossetian and Transdnestr leaders planned to be held on April 10-12 was postponed for a later date. Nevertheless, on April 10, a meeting of foreign ministers of the unrecognized republics of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transdnestr is planned; a communiqué is expected to be signed at the meeting. The key subject of the discussion will be effectiveness of continuing the negotiation process on the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict settlement under the aegis of the UN Security Council.
