Russian casino may be opened in Estonia
Russian businessman Oleg Boiko is examining a possibility for opening gambling-houses in Estonia, Aripaev business paper (Estonia) informs today.
Several real estate dealers in Narva confirmed that owners of Russian casinos, including Oleg Boiko, are thinking over a possibility to start business in Narva, Sillamae and Narva-Jõesuu, the paper says. According to the paper, Boiko, owning the largest in Eastern Europe Ritzio Entertainment Group, already has two firms in Estonia, CityCasino and Bally's Casino.
As REGNUM reported earlier, starting from July 1, 2009, the law on gambling will come into force in Russia, according to which, casinos will be transferred into special areas in Altai and Primorsky Territories, near Rostov and Krasnodar and in Kaliningrad Region.
It is worth mentioning, earlier, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov called Russians not to buy Estonian goods and not to go to Estonia for holidays.
