Lugovoi was proposed to collect material to discredit Putin
Two Russian businessmen, Andrei Lugovoi and Dmitry Kovtun, are holding a news conference in Moscow today.
As Lugovoi announced in the beginning of the conference, Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky living in exile in the UK and ex-FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko, who died of polonium poisoning last November, had been recruited by MI6 UK intelligence service, which made it easier for them to be granted political asylum and British citizenship.
Lugovoi announced: They tried to recruit me. The British partners were interested in all my ties, contacts with the presidential administration, top officials, my financial opportunities. According to Andrei Lugovoi, he was also proposed to collect materials compromising Russian President Vladimir Putin and his family.
