Lugovoi is serious about statements of Russian citizen recruited by MI6
Andrei Lugovoi, who is charged by the UK Crown Prosecution Service with murder of Alexander Litvinenko, says he is serious about words of a Russian citizen who gave up to the Russian Federal Security Service saying he had been recruited by MI6, as he has a notorious experience of communicating with MI6 agents and Boris Berezovsky.
Earlier, a Russian citizen gave up to the Federal Security Service (FSB) and said he had been recruited in London by British intelligence officers. The name of the man has not been disclosed yet.
According to the FSB press office, the Russian decided to turn to the Federal Security Service after a news conference by Andrei Lugovoi, who said that British intelligence had recruited Boris Berezovsky and ex-FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko.
Head of the Russian Federal Security Service Nikolai Patrushev announced yesterday that a criminal proceeding can be started on the case, but a thorough investigation must be held before it.
