Azerbaijani foreign ministry: Talks on Nagorno Karabakh settlement reached a deadlock
Consultations of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Matthew Bryza (USA) and Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov have been held today in Baku, Azerbaijan. Commenting on the results of the three-hour talks, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov made an unexpected statement that the talks on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement reached a deadlock. It was caused, according to the deputy minister, by position of Armenians, who avoid concrete things in the last moment. Azimov sees a way-out in a stage-by-stage settlement, however, the Armenian side, according to him, sabotages it, Turan news agency reports.
Commenting on facts of delivering weapons to Armenia from Russia, Azimov said that Russia needs to make up its mind on the issue. According to him, European countries refuse to supply weapons to Armenia like it was done by Albania.
