Berezovsky declines to comment on Lugovoy's accusations
has declined to comment on the accusation made by Russian businessman Andrei Lugovoy who insisted that Berezovsky was involved in assassinations of Anna Politkovskaya, Alexander Litvinenko, Vladislav Listyev, Sergey Yushenkov and Vladimir Golovlev, reports RSN.Answering a question of a British reporter at a news conference in Moscow yesterday, Lugovoy, who is charged by the UK prosecution with murder of Litvinenko, said that
assassinations of Politkovskaya, Litvinenko, Listyev, Yushenkov and Golovlev had direct connections with Berezovsky. Lugovoy insists that the British justice has no proof of his guilt.Berezovsky charged in Russia on several charges is now living in Great Britain, where he was granted the status of a political refugee. Despite inquiries of the Russian prosecution, Britain refuses to extradite him to Moscow. At the same time, London claims that Russia should extradite Lugovoy despite the Russian constitution that does not permit extradition of Russian citizens to other countries.
