Expert: Outcomes of parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be announced by court instead of Central Election Commission
Outcomes of the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be questioned in court, Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation Ilko Kucheriv announced at a news conference The national exit poll 2007: Who and how conducts it today, reports a REGNUM correspondent.
According to Kucheriv, after the Central Election Commission announces the outcomes, there will necessarily be political forces that either will fail to get into the parliament or will be dissatisfied with the results, which will cause court proceedings, Kucheriv also said that this year the exit poll will be held like it was last year: at exits from polling stations respondents will be given ballots absolutely similar to the true ones. The method, as the expert believes, gives an opportunity to the respondent to choose his party secretly and throw the ballot into the ballot-box without making his decision public. The expert informed that about 20,000 respondents are planned to be questioned at the exit polls; statistical error would not exceed 3%.
