Matthew Bryza ready to cooperate with new Nagorno Karabakh president
I find it inappropriate to speak about changing the format of the talks. A new political season starts in Armenia and Azerbaijan, and there is no necessity in discussing other formats. It is necessary to compete what we started, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair (USA) Matthew Bryza is quoted by a REGNUM correspondent as saying after a meeting with Nagorno Karabakh President Bako Saakyan.
At the same time, the American co-chair expressed readiness to cooperate with the new president of Nagorno Karabakh. On September 16, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Matthew Bryza (USA) and Bernard Fassier (France) visited Stepanakert in the frameworks of their regional tour. They met NKR President Bako Saakyan and discussed a number of issues concerning the current state of affairs and prospects of the conflict settlement.
