Timoshenko declared that the democratic team whole being in power would not allow any gas shortages and Ukraine would be a reliable partner in gas transit both for Russia and Europe. After the democratic government is formed, we shall immediately prepare a meeting and talks on gas issues as well with Russian top officials. We shall be forming mutually beneficial relations with Russia and Ukraine on the basis of national interest on Russia and Ukraine, Timoshenko said.
She added that this time Russia and Ukraine will manage without mediators. The BYT leader reminded that her position on gas issues remains unchanged; she is sure that neither Russia nor Ukraine need the middleman company RosUkrEnergo, but only shady clans do.
