Yushchenko proposes coalition of Timoshenko’s bloc, Regions Party and Our Ukraine
We can get to true political stability in Ukraine only with political consent of three key political actors – the Regions Party, Timoshenko’s Bloc and Our Ukraine, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko announced today speaking on forming a parliamentary coalition, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
Within last a year and a half, three political forces – the Regions Party, the BYT and Our Ukraine received about 80% of the general electoral support. This shows exclusive responsibility of those three political forces for stabilization of the political situation, first of all, at the Ukrainian parliament, foundations for parliamentary majority and on its basis the government as well and principles of the relations between the power and the opposition, the Ukrainian president said. So, my key message in appealing to those political forces is the following: they must start political negotiations, from foundations for majority at the parliament, the government and relations between the political forces that would represent the power and the opposition, he added.
I am sure that there is a perfect opportunity today on the basis of the election outcomes at the early parliamentary elections to revise mistakes of the past and start a true dialog between the key political actors and propose a sustainable model for political stability, said the Ukrainian leader.
