Yushchenko ready to give posts in the Cabinet to Regions Party, if they become opposition
Preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine show that Ukrainian democratic forces can establish a parliamentary majorityá President Viktor Yushchenko announced during his visit to Berlin yesterday, a REGNUM correspondent informs citing press office of the president.
If the matter concerns the fact that political outcomes of the elections let the democratic forces organize a majority, and this is so, the relations between the government and the opposition must be constructive, the Ukrainian president concluded. As he believes, to secure a well-considered wise dialog between the power and the opposition, the opposition must be given certain posts and this is quite a normal step. If opposition needs an opportunity to work at the parliament on certain posts, those posts must be given. The same thing concerns an opportunity to represent the opposition in the government. I am sure that such proposals must be taken into account, Viktor Yushchenko noted.
