Viktor Yanukovich has pretensions for prime minister’s post from Regions Party
As the winner of the extraordinary parliamentary elections in Ukraine, the Regions Party has pretentions that Viktor Yanukovich must become prime minister, head of the prime minister’s staff Sergey Levochkin announced today, a REGNUM correspondent reports citing the Regions Party press office.
At present moment, the Regions Party has talks about establishing a wide coalition with Our Ukraine-People’s Defense. Besides, on October 3, on behalf of the Regions Party an invitation was sent to Timoshenko’s Bloc to join the Regions Party and Our Ukraine, said Levochkin. He also informed that on Thursday, October 4, we suppose to sign a memorandum on the intention to establish a coalition and the talks will consist of two stages. On the first stage, we must elaborate a coalition agreement, which will define goals of future Ukraine’s development and principles on which the coalition will be founded. The ministerial post will be distributed at the second stage.
