Political analyst: Regions Party will be permanently waiting for body of its enemy floating down the river
Until there is chance for compromise, the Regions Party will join the parliament and take a position of a wise Indian, who will be expecting for the body of his enemy floating down the river, political analyst Andrei Yermolayev said yesterday on the sidelines of a meeting Outcomes and lessons of the extraordinary elections to the Supreme Rada, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
If the president supports the coalition government and Timoshenko’s candidature for the post of prime minister, the Regions Party will apply the experience of 2007 and will be blocking the functioning of the parliament and run for extraordinary parliamentary elections, while backing the idea of early presidential election as well, the analyst added. Yermolayev also believes that the coalition will be established anyway, but the process of appointing prime minister and forming the government can take a long time. According to the analyst, the most possible scenario is that the Orange coalition will be formed, a pause will be taken in forming the government; he also says that Yulia Timoshenko will hardly have support she needs.
