Mikhail Saakashvili to resign on November 26
Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili will resign on November 26. As Chair of the Georgian Central Election Commission Levan Tarkhnishvili said, the Georgian president can propose himself on November 26. Thus, no procedures are violated. Everything is in correspondence with the law, he said.
After the resignation, Mikhail Saakashvili will officially start his pre-election campaign and run for presidency for the second term at the January 5, 2008 extraordinary presidential election.
