Expert: Recognition of Kosovo is fraught with more 4-5 Albanian states appearing
Recognition of Kosovo is fraught with danger, first of all, for Europe, the head of the Center for Studies of the Contemporary Balkan Crisis, the Institute of Slavonic Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, Yelena Guskova said today during a televised conference between Moscow and Beijing about the Kosovo issue and Russia and China’s position on the problem, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
Recognition of Kosovo will serve as example for many other Albanian ethnic groups living in various countries, for instance, in Macedonia, in southern Serbia, Montenegro and northern Greece, the expert believes. Many those Albanian groups made public their aspirations towards independence long time ago. Meanwhile, the groups use terror ways of achieving their goals and all of them are encouraged by Albania.
Hence, one should not be hasty in recognizing Kosovo independence, but continue the talks, Yelena Guskova concludes.
