Ukrainian Regions Party promises no surprises at voting for Timoshenko
The Regions Party faction at the Ukrainian parliament will not participate in today’s voting on the candidacy of a new prime minister and the Cabinet of Ministers. The announcement was made today by MP Raissa Bogatyryova at a briefing on the sidelines of the Supreme Rada, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
Answering a specifying question whether members of the Regions Party could vote for Yulia Timoshenko as prime minister, Bogatyryova said: We have no such information. You know, we are known for discipline in such issues, so I do not think there will be any surprises on our side. We have passed a political decision yesterday not to support Timoshenko and not to vote for the government.
