Georgian Central Election Commission: Presidential election is accomplished
Chair of the Georgian Central Election Commission Levan Tarkhnishvili told reporters that the early presidential election held today has been accomplished, a REGNUM correspondent informs.
The voter turnout was high enough, at 05:00 p.m. it was 46.44%. We do not have more precise data on the voter attendance at 08:00 p.m., but we can state the people were quite active later. The voting proceeded in a normal way; we can state no significant incidents took place. There were some technical problems and we shall certainly consider each of them and make conclusions. However, judging on the whole, we can state the election is accomplished; it was fair, transparent and democratic, Levan Tarkhnishvili announced.
