Over 60% Georgians speak for entering NATO – an exit poll
According to an exit poll, held by the Caucasus Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development, GIPA, the Foundation for Strategic and International Studies and Chavchavadze State University contracted by four Georgian TV-channels (Public Television, Rustavi 2, Mze and Ajar Television), more than 60% of Georgian people speak for entering NATO and calling early parliamentary elections.
Answering the question about the date of parliamentary elections, 63.6% of the respondents said they support holding the elections this spring (according to the Georgian constitution, the elections are to be held this fall). 20.8% refused to answer the question. 61.1% spoke for Georgia entering NATO, 17.7% were against it, 21.3% refused to answer the question, a REGNUM correspondent informs. Overall, 9,846 voters were questioned.
