Timoshenko: Since November 2007 gas has been supplied to Ukraine by Naftogaz only

Starting from November 2007, the gas trader RosUkrEnergo has not been delivering natural gas to Ukraine, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko today during a meeting regarding financial position of Naftogaz Ukraine, a REGNUM correspondent is told at the press office of the Ukrainian government.

“Starting from November 2007, all the statements that RosUkrEnergo was delivering natural gas to Ukraine have been a myth; they have not supplied gas to Ukraine. They have not signed agreements, have not reflected it in their acts and practically left Ukraine without gas starting from November,” Timoshenko said. She noted that Naftogaz Ukraine was securing the balance of gas “at the expense of its possibilities and its resources.”

Timoshenko came to the conclusion after a report by Naftogaz head Oleg Dubina, who answering a question from the prime minister practically confirmed her information. The prime minister noted that she intends to turn to the National Security Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Interior Ministry about the “subversive activity conducted by the companies in the Ukrainian territory and breaking their pledges.”
