Ukrainian peacekeepers in Kosovo bombed with grenades
In the town of Mitrovica, Kosovo, 15 Ukrainian peacekeepers were injured during clashes with local Serb population. One of the peacekeepers is in a grave condition. REGNUM correspondent in Kiev was informed about the incident in Ukrainian interior ministry on March 17.
According to the ministerial information, the injured are soldiers of militia special force who guarded a court building. The peacekeepers received mainly missile wounds – they were attacked with hand grenades. The injured were brought to a US hospital.
There are 50 Ukrainian peacekeepers deployed in Mitrovica. They have at their disposal 7 dogs of Ukrainian interior ministry's dog service.
