Industrial production increased by 5.3% in 10 months in Kirov Region

Industrial production in January-October 2008 increased by 5.3% in comparison with the same period last year, REGNUM was informed at the regional administration of Rosstat.

In particular, in the region mining of fuel-energy minerals increased by 12% in comparison with the same period last year. Volumes of manufacturing activities increased by 5.8% in 10 months of 2008. Foodstuffs production increased by 2.4% in comparison with the same period last year, textile and clothing manufacture increased by 3.3%, wood products industry grew on 5.4%, pulp and paper and press production grew on 13.6%, production of oil products increased by 55.8%, chemical production increased by 6.7%, production of machinery and equipment increased by 11.4%, production of electronic and optical equipment grew on 2.1%.

Volumes of production and distribution of electricity, gas and water increased by 2.9% in comparison with the same period last year.

In comparison with the same period last year, manufacture of sausages increased by 10%, mineral water by 11%, bone oil and canned fish increased by 12%, confectionery increased by 19%, meat semis increased by 23%, smoked fish grew on 33%, compound animal feeding stuff increased by 68%, wet fish increased by 3.7%, fruit and vegetable preserves increased by 4%, tomato preserves increased by 11%, canned meats increased by 30%, fruit preserves increased by 41%.
