Cost of euro-dollar basket came to grips the “cap” of 2009

On February, 3, 2009 the Central Bank of Russia set the official exchange rate above level of 36 rubles per dollar, leading it up to 36.1767 rubles per dollar. Therefore, American currency at once rose in price more than by 76 kopecks. At the same time Bank of Russia set the exchange rate of euro at level of 46.0457 rubles, increasing it by 38 kopecks. Thus, the cost of dual currency basket (0.55 dollar and 0.45 euro) increased up to 40.62 rubles.

On January, 22 the Central Bank of Russia set the upper bound of trading corridor, where could change the euro-dollar basket, at the level of 41 rubles.
