Azerbaijan has broken cease fire in Karabakh conflict zone
On November 16, about 4 a.m. by local time, a special group of the Azerbaijan army crossed the borderline between forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in its southeast direction. They were trying to gain the rear of the NKR Defense Army units that were on duty near the Ashagi Seyidakhmedli settlement.
As a correspondent of REGNUM in Stepenakert reports, citing the press office of the Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, servicemen of NKR Defense Army, while acting resolutely and in full coordination, during a battle of about half-hour long, threw the enemy back to its initial positions. The Azerbaijani side had left one soldier killed on the battlefield, while Karabakh troops suffered no losses.
According to the head of the press office of the NKR Defense Army, Senor Asratyan, this was another serious incident after an assault of diversionary group of Azerbaijan army on the night of March 4, that took place nearby Levonarkh village in Martakert district of NKR. The Defense Ministry of NKR pointed out the fact that Azerbaijan has broken the ceasefire at the very moment when co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group on settlement of Karabakh conflict being in Stepanakert on a regional visit.
