Kirov Region to develop business ties with India
Business ties with India are planned to be developed in Kirov Region, REGNUM is told at the regional government press center.
According to the press center, Kirov Region Governor Nikolai Shaklein had a work meeting with participants of the Russian National Exhibition that took place on November 25-28, 2008, in New Delhi.
As they say at the press center, innovative projects to launch and produce veterinary medicines, plants protection chemicals, produce of fluoropolymers, laser-plasmic processing of metals, fan produce of wire, an investment project for construction of a multipurpose architectural and cultural facility Khlynov Chamber were presented at the regional exhibit within frameworks of the Russian National Exhibition.
At the meeting with participants of the exhibition, the governor thanked members of the Kirov delegation for their activity and professional approach to showing the potential of the region and handed over to them welcoming addresses from the regional government and diplomas of the organizing committee of the Russian National Exhibition.
The participants of the meeting noted that such large-scale forums promote development of the existing ties and establishing new business contacts. Implementation of new projects in companies that presented their products at the Russian National Exhibition is already being worked through.
They underscored at the press center that India could become a strategic partner of the region. At present, trade turnover of the region with India totals about $1.5 mn annually and it needs to be increased. The exhibition gave an opportunity for Indian businesses to get acquainted with the regional potential, and for officials and Kirov Region business people to assess volumes of the Indian markets and plan further steps to develop them. In particular, management of the Morozov Company (Kirov) had a detailed conversation with an Indian fashion designer about join fashion shows in Russia and in India, and representatives of Imlight Showtechnic Co. discussed a possibility of locating part of the production facilities in India.
